Organization Awards
- Daily Point of Light, The Points of Light Institute, December 25, 2006. The Daily Point of Light Award honors individuals and volunteer groups that have made a commitment to connect Americans through service to help meet critical needs in their communities. It focuses on the goals for children and youth set by the President’s Summit for America’s Future. Each weekday, one volunteer or volunteer effort in the country receives a Daily Point of Light Award

- 2007 Outstanding Contribution to the Greater Community by a Student Organization, UI Hawkeye Leadership Awards
- 2007 Outstanding Student Organization, UI Hawkeye Leadership Awards
- 2008 Outstanding Contribution to the Greater Community by a Student Organization, UI Hawkeye Leadership Awards
- The 10,000 Hours Show (statewide) was inducted into The Iowa Volunteer Hall of Fame. The award was presented on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the State Capitol Building, Rotunda Level. This is the highest form of recognition from the State given to volunteers and organizations impacting the community through service
- 2009 At the 2009 Hawkeye Awards on Saturday April 4, 10K6 Staff Members Matt Menietti and Kristin Fuhs were awarded the Leadership Legacy Award and Unsung Hero Award, respectively. Two additional members were nominated, as was the organization as a whole
- 2009 Two staff members, Larry Hau and Jessica Barnes, were nominated for the Hancher-Finkbine Award, the highest award given to any student at The University of Iowa, for leadership and dedication to 10K

- 2010 At the 2010 Hawkeye Awards, Billy Dunn received the Unsung Hero Award. Two other staff members received nominations for other awards
- 2011 Two staff members, Kristin Fuhs and Molly McDonnell, were nominated for the Hancher-Finkbine Medallion, the highest award given to any student at The University of Iowa, for their leadership and dedication to 10K
- 2012 Two staff members, Brent Adams and John Welt, were nominated for the Hancher-Finkbine Medallion, the highest award given to any student at The University of Iowa, for their leadership and dedication to 10K
