Q: I cannot log in to Volunteer Solutions
A: Please make sure that you are entering your username and password under the “Agency Login” heading. To reach the agency login screen, click on “login” from the tabs at the top of the screen on the Volunteer Solutions homepage and login under the “Registered Agencies” heading
Q: What is my username for the Volunteer Solutions account?
A: Your agency name.
Q: I have forgotten my password to Volunteer Solutions, how do I retrieve it?
A: If you have forgotten your password to Volunteer Solutions, click on the “Forgot your password?” link on the Agency Login page.
Q: How do I change staff contact information on Volunteer Solutions?
A: After you login, click on the blue “Agency Listing” tab. You can edit general information about your agency as well as contact information. Please keep this information as current as possible.
Q: How do I set an event to be displayed on the Volunteer Solutions event calendar?
A: After you login, click on the blue “Opportunities” tab. Be sure to select “Add a date-specific opportunity” to ensure that the event is displayed on the calendar after it has been approved.
Q: My volunteer is having problems logging their hours on Volunteer Solutions, what now?
A: If your volunteer is experiencing difficulty logging hours, please ask them to contact their assigned 10K squad leader by e-mail or phone. If they do not know who their squad leader is, he or she can contact the Executive Director of Grassroots at grassroots@10000hoursei.org.
Q: How do I verify volunteer hours on Volunteer Solutions ?
A: If you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact 10K Executive Director of Nonprofits by e-mailing nonprofits@10000hoursei.org.
Q: How do my volunteers sign up with The 10,000 Hours Show?
A: They can sign up online at www.10000hoursEI.org and visiting the “See the Show” section.
Q: How do I get my agency a spot in the UI Volunteer Fair?
A: The UI Civic Engagement Program is responsible for sending out the invitations each semester. This mailing is done several weeks in advance. If you have not received an invitation and would like to participate in the upcoming UI Volunteer Fair, please email Mary Mathew Wilson at mary-mathew-wilson@uiowa.edu.
Q: Do I need to contact volunteers that sign up with my organization?
A: Volunteers are responsible for contacting you in advance. You have no obligation to contact them. However, you may certainly contact them if you need volunteers and ask if they're still interested in being involved with your organization.
